Is Brian Kelly for real?

Brian Kelly has been the head coach of the Cincinnati Bearcats football team for the past two years. He brought the team to two consecutive national championship bowls. In 2007, he led his team to the PapaJohn.com bowl and they won against Southern Miss.

Ever since Kelly took the head coach position, the Bearcats have been ranked in the top 25. In 2008, he led the Bearcats to their first Big East title win. He was named Big East Head Coach of the year. They ended up going to the Orange Bowl against Virginia Tech but lost.

Rumors have been going around about him going to Notre Dame to coach. He told the media that he will not leave Cincinnati. He would be making 9 million a year if he took the job at Notre Dame. It would be a sad loss because before Kelly was head coach, the Bearcats sucked.

The Bearcats finished the season with a record of 12-0. They are ranked number 3. They would have had a shot to make it to the National Championship if Nebraska would of beat Texas. But they lost. They only lost with one second left in the game. This year they are playing against Florida in the Sugar Bowl.

So hopefully Kelly will stay at Cincinnati and coach another year and hopefully for more years. I don't know who would be able to replace him and do just as good.

UC climbing up the ladder!

The Cincinnat Bearcat's are doing good this year with football and basketball. The Bearcats are ranked number five in the NCAA football rankings. They are 11-0, knocking off top rank teams throughout the season. They have surprised everyone in the city of Cincinnati by going undefeated. Their new coach has a lot to do with their success. This is his second year as the head coach for the Cincinnati Bearcats. They play Pittsburgh Saturday for their last season game. Hopefully they can beat them and finish the regular season without a loss.

UC Basketball is also doing good so far. They are 5-1 and are ranked 22 in the NCAA rankingss. They defeated Prairie View, Toledo, Vanderbilt, Maryland, and Texas Southern so far this season which made them go to the top 25 teams. They play Miami, Oh next Thursday.

This is a good year for Cincinnati for sports. Hopefully all of the teams can keep up the good pace!
