Kansas dissappoints millions

It was the biggest upset of this year's NCAA basketball tournament. Number one seed, Kansas, lost to Northen Iowa, number nine seed. Kansas was favored to win the entire tournament. Just about everyone in America agreed and expected for Kansas to win the whole thing. They defeated LeHigh in the first round and were on a roll.

Everyone's bracket was messed up due to the Kansas loss. I couldn't believe my eyes. I had Kansas going all the way to the National Championship, along with Kentucky. I had Kentucky winning, so I wasn't that upset, but it did mess up my bracket big time!

This year's tournament has had so many upsets so I wasn't that shocked when I saw that Kansas had lost. I just hope Kentucky can keep winning so my bracket isn't completely demolished!

Uc lost at the buzzer

Cincinnati was in the race for the NCAA tournament, beating Rutgers and Louisville two nights in a row. They played ex UC coach, Bob Huggins' team, West Virginia only to be sadly defeated within the last couple seconds of regulary. West Virginia lead most of the game until the last ten minutes.

UC came back and changed the momentum of the game. Cincinati fans were excited and hopeful for a win as the game was winding down to the final second. It was tied 51-51 with 6 seconds only to turn the ball over. West Virginia then had possesion with 3 seconds left. The ball was thrown in bounds and Butler threw up a 3 pointer with close to one second left. The crowd went silent. The ball banked off the backboard and went in.

UC played a tough game and proved to everyone that they can compete with top name teams and hopefully they will learn from their mistakes and improve as a team for next seasons and more to come.

Bengals 10-11 Scouting

The Cincinnati Bengals are in a lot of need for good players to help them out for thier upcoming season. They need new recievers to give Palmer a litle bit more options to rely and throw to when the game is on the line. Some talk has been said about maybe gettign Terrell OWens to come to Cincinnati and a wide reciever from another team as well.

Hopefully we get some good draft picks to help us win more games and make it fartehr in the playoffs... if we even make them. But hopefully we do and hopefully we will have all of the players in teh right spot that we need to go far.

So look forward to a good season with some new players and maybe even a new defensive coach!

Kicking off the 2010 Winter Olympics

The Winter Olympics, being the 21st Winter Olympics, are being held in Vancouver, British Columbia, and Canada. It will kick off tonight on live television! This will be the 3rd Winter Olypics being hosted by Canada. The total cost of this athletic festival is close to 6 million dollars! About $600 million will go directly to the sports.

The Olympics first originated in Greece. The winners didn't earn a gold, silver, or bronze metal. Instead, they earned an Olive Wreath, which was an olive brach that symbolized peace. Also, the only sport that used to be in the Olympics were only racing. Now there's all kinds of sports ranging from snowboarding to basketball to boxing to bobsledding.

So if you're not doing anything tonight, tune into the Winter Olympics!

Super Bowl 44

Super Bowl 44 is this Sunday, February 7. The Indianapolis Colts and the New Orleans Saints are going to competing in the year's Super Bowl. It should be an offensive shoot out. Both teams can score whenever needed to and can also play very well defense. I personaly wouldn't mind seeing the Saints win just because this is their first Super Bowl apperace ever. But on the other hand, I wouldn't mind seeing the Colts win because I like Payton Manning and he is one of the hardest working quarter backs in the NFL today and maybe possibly ever!

The half time show will feature The Who, an older rock band from the 1960's, 1964 to be exact. They are known for playing in Cincinnati that led to deaths among the fans. Hopefully everyone will be safe and enjoy an awesome performance from an awesome band!

The Long Road to the Super Bowl

Super Bowl 44 has come to a close ending. With two of the argueably better teams in the NFL today, the Indianapolis Colts and the New Orleans Saints, are two weeks away to battle it out for the title. The two teams fought to get where they are and I believe they both deserve it.

The Indianapolis Colts have always been a good team. They always have a winning season and they hardly ever don't make the playoffs. They have one of the best quarter backs of all time and some of the better recievers. The only thing they are lacking is a running game but they are good enough on passing and defense that it really doesn't effect them.

On the other hand, the New Orleans Saints have never ever been to a Super Bowl. With the disaster of the homeland with the Hurricane Katrina, many would say that they deserve it the most. Also they have never really been that good. They never hardly make it to the playoffs. Drew Brees has made a huge impact and has lead the team to where they are.

I hope it turn out to be a good game to wacth!

Is Brian Kelly for real?

Brian Kelly has been the head coach of the Cincinnati Bearcats football team for the past two years. He brought the team to two consecutive national championship bowls. In 2007, he led his team to the PapaJohn.com bowl and they won against Southern Miss.

Ever since Kelly took the head coach position, the Bearcats have been ranked in the top 25. In 2008, he led the Bearcats to their first Big East title win. He was named Big East Head Coach of the year. They ended up going to the Orange Bowl against Virginia Tech but lost.

Rumors have been going around about him going to Notre Dame to coach. He told the media that he will not leave Cincinnati. He would be making 9 million a year if he took the job at Notre Dame. It would be a sad loss because before Kelly was head coach, the Bearcats sucked.

The Bearcats finished the season with a record of 12-0. They are ranked number 3. They would have had a shot to make it to the National Championship if Nebraska would of beat Texas. But they lost. They only lost with one second left in the game. This year they are playing against Florida in the Sugar Bowl.

So hopefully Kelly will stay at Cincinnati and coach another year and hopefully for more years. I don't know who would be able to replace him and do just as good.
